Addax Antelope Taxidermy on Hotel Dresser

Soft midmorning light bounces off pale walls to illuminate a taxidermied addax antelope resting on a polished mahogany dresser. The creature's cream-colored coat and tightly spiraled horns catch the diffuse glow, while the smooth wood grain reflects the brightness nearby. Small brass knobs gleam on the dresser drawers, and shadows pool in the corners where the lamplight has not yet reached. The dry season is visible through the crisp, dust-free surfaces and the sharp definition of the antelope's fur texture. Negative space frames the subject against the urban backdrop of a Mexico City hotel room. One brass hinge catches the light on the right drawer.
