Zodiacal Light Over Cairo Desert Dawn
A faint, conical column of pale silver light rises vertically from the horizon, piercing the deep indigo of the pre-dawn sky. The beam spreads wider near the ground and tapers into the darkness above, its edges soft and diffuse against the fading stars. Below, the flat desert expanse stretches toward the distant silhouette of Cairo's skyline, where a few high-rise buildings stand as dark, jagged teeth against the glow. Heat haze shimmers just above the sand, distorting the lower horizon with a wavering, translucent curtain. Frost rests on the rocky ridgeline in the immediate foreground, catching the first cold rays of morning. The light casts a cool, metallic sheen on the dry earth, highlighting the texture of loose gravel and sparse, dormant scrub grass. The sky transitions from a deep violet at the zenith to a pale, milky yellow near the light's base.
