Under a flat, diffused Osaka midday sky, a narrow alleyway in Shinsekai reveals a temporary stall setup where a vendor balances a woven bamboo basket on a crate, spilling fresh shallots onto a damp concrete slab. The muted gray light flattens the colors of the surrounding neon signs, leaving the earthy tones of the produce and the rough texture of the basket as the primary visual anchors. A pair of garden shears rests carelessly on a nearby plastic sheet, their steel blades catching a dull, non-reflective gleam from the overcast sky.
