Wooden Peg Rail in Cusco

A wooden peg rail is mounted horizontally on a rough adobe wall in a sunlit Cusco kitchen during winter noon. The aged wood shows deep grain and wear from years of use, against the textured pinkish clay surface behind it. Below the rail, a simple wire basket holds dried corn cobs, adding a splash of yellow to the earthy tones. A small ceramic cup sits on a nearby shelf, catching the bright, direct sunlight that floods the room.
