Wooden Doorframe in Beirut

A weathered wooden doorframe stands slightly ajar in the cool, gray light of a Beirut morning, revealing a glimpse of the interior. Condensation rests on the glass panes, blurring the view of the street outside where the dawn mist hangs low. A small, brass table lamp sits on a ledge just inside the threshold, its bulb unlit but casting a faint metallic sheen. Dust motes drift through the sliver of daylight that cuts across the worn floorboards.
