Winter Afternoon on Foggia Window Seat with Dried Lavender

Pale walls reflect broad skylight into the room, illuminating a wooden mantelpiece situated on a window seat in Foggia. A dried bunch of lavender rests beside a snuffed white candle, its wick charred and dark. The scene remains still in the dead of winter, with quiet shadows pooling along the base of the walls. Soft focus blurs the immediate foreground, drawing attention to the sharp details of the dried flower stems and the rough texture of the wax.
