Windmill Reflected in Tulip Field Near Belfast

Late afternoon light bounces off a shallow pool of rainwater, mirroring a stone windmill that stands beside a weathered fortress wall. The structure rises from a sea of tulips in muted pinks and pale yellows, their petals heavy with recent moisture. Humid air hangs visible as a soft haze against the grey stone, softening the edges of the masonry and the wooden vanes. The water surface acts as a perfect mirror, doubling the silhouette of the mill and the overcast sky above. Wet grass blades press against the stone base, while the fortress wall stretches into the distance, its texture rough and dark against the bright floral foreground. One reflection of a wooden vane rests sharply on the water's edge, defining the boundary between the real structure and its inverted image.
