A Charleston historic rowhouse facade presents a wall of soft, diffuse gray light under the heavy overcast sky. Bright red geraniums spill from traditional white window boxes, their glossy leaves against the peeling white paint of the shutters. Below the window, a weathered wicker chair sits empty on the stoop, casting a complex, dappled shadow pattern against the rough stucco surface. One water droplet rests on the edge of a terracotta pot, refracting the muted daylight in a sharp, crystalline highlight.
