Weaving Workspace in Luang Prabang
Wet cobblestones reflect the soft, diffused gray light of early morning as a local artisan works beneath the eaves of a wooden shophouse in Luang Prabang. In the foreground, a weathered bamboo loom shuttle rests beside a stack of damp, dark indigo textiles, while further back, the silhouette of a monk’s saffron robe moves past the open doorway. The scene is anchored by the rough texture of rain-stained teak pillars and the smooth, wet sheen of the stone path leading toward the misty Mekong riverbank. One drop of water falls from the corrugated metal roof, striking a puddle near a discarded straw hat and creating a brief, concentric ripple in the reflection.
