Sunburned skin glows with an orange hue beneath a layer of fine grey volcanic dust on the farmer's shoulders. Early afternoon light bounces off nearby water, casting a cool, soft reflection across the subject's face and upper body. Above, a string of colorful prayer flags hangs against a sky filled with dramatic, heavy clouds. The winter season shows in the crisp air and the subject's heavy woolen clothing.
