Before sunrise, a quiet Athenian street reveals a vendor arranging wooden crates of ripe figs and oranges on a stone sidewalk. The cool air hangs still as the first pale light touches the rough facade of a neoclassical building nearby. A dusting cloth rests on the edge of the display table, slightly crumpled from use. The vendor, bundled in a wool coat, adjusts the position of a crate, his breath visible in the chill. Shadows stretch long and soft across the cobblestones, showing the texture of the ancient pavement. No crowds are present, only the solitary figure preparing for the day's activity in this historic city.
