The warm, low-angle light of the Athenian golden hour spills across a narrow alley in Plaka, illuminating a street vendor’s cart laden with fresh produce. Bright orange citrus peels, discarded after squeezing juice for customers, litter the metal counter alongside a few pale turnips resting on a checkered cloth. A striped towel, stained with pulp and juice, hangs loosely from the cart’s edge, catching the sun’s flare. In the background, the warm stone facade of a neoclassical building contrasts with the vendor’s rough hands as he arranges the remaining fruit.
