Twilight Rock Study Obsidian Pumice Lhasa

by Isaiah Skinner

Indigo twilight falls through a window, casting a cool hue over a symmetrical arrangement of volcanic stones. The collection transitions from deep obsidian black on the left to soft pumice grey on the right. String lights hang above, their warm glow reflecting softly on the polished surfaces of the rocks. Early summer air is still, leaving the stones untouched. The symmetrical composition centers the gradient, creating a visual rhythm. A small reflection of the nearest light bulb shimmers on the wet edge of the central grey stone.
