Twilight Reflection Minaret Pool Pagoda New Mexico

Deep shadow envelops the courtyard pool beneath the sweeping eaves of a pagoda-style roof. A slender minaret rises from the far edge, its silhouette sharply defined by a thin rim of cool twilight light. The still water mirrors the structure, doubling the vertical line against the heavy, dramatic clouds gathering above. Rough adobe walls frame the left side, against the smooth, dark surface of the pool. Dried sagebrush lines the perimeter, hinting at the turn of seasons. The water holds a perfect, inverted image of the minaret and the stormy sky, creating a precise geometric boundary between the earth and the reflection. one drop of water rests on the stone rim, distorting the light just at the edge of the frame.
