Traditional Bread Oven in Montero Prayer Hall

Bright midmorning sunlight floods the interior of a prayer hall near Montero, illuminating a massive traditional bread oven constructed from rough-hewn adobe and clay. The cool season air hangs heavy and humid, visible as a faint shimmer across the polished stone floor where recent rain has evaporated. Layers of arched doorways recede into the distance, creating deep spatial shadows that frame the oven's curved, soot-stained mouth. Dust motes drift lazily in the strong light beams, settling on the dry, cracked earth of the surrounding plaza visible through the open arches. The texture of the aged brick contrasts sharply with the smooth, wet sheen of the stone tiles, while a single shadow stretches long across the threshold, marking the edge of the bright exterior world.
