A large Tibetan Mastiff lies curled on a wooden window seat inside a quiet Milan apartment, its thick double coat displaying dense guard hairs and a softer underlayer. The dog's broad muzzle and folded ears rest against a dark cushion, while the deep winter night presses against the glass behind it. Stark fluorescent light from an unseen source cuts across the room, illuminating floating dust particles that drift through the air in visible shafts. The shallow depth of field blurs the background city lights into soft orbs, keeping focus sharp on the texture of the fur and the subtle grain of the wood.
