A heavy-coated Bullmastiff lies curled on a textured bedspread in a quiet bedroom near Malmo. Condensation blurs the edges of the nearby window glass, marking the dead of winter outside. Early morning light falls through sheer curtains, casting soft, diffused shadows across the dog's fawn and brindle fur. The animal's broad muzzle and folded ears rest low against the fabric, framed tightly to emphasize the grain of its coat. A small patch of frost rests on the window pane, against the sheltered warmth of the indoor space.
