Tailoring Patterns and Shears on Harbor Wall

Cream-colored drafting paper with black grid lines and geometric curves lies flat against the rough, gray stone of a weathered harbor wall. A pair of heavy steel shears rests atop the paper, their handles dark and worn, while a small, cylindrical lead weight sits nearby. The early evening light reflects off the dark water, casting a cool, silvery glow across the scene. A faint, hazy sheen from hairspray softens the edges of the tools, creating a subtle diffusion against the sharp lines of the pattern. The stone surface shows deep cracks filled with moss, against the smooth, manufactured texture of the paper. The steel reflects the pale water light, and at the edge is the sharp shadow of the shears' blades falling across the inked grid lines.
