Tailor Chalks Double Breasted Lapel in Midsummer Light

Pale chalk dust marks the edge of a sharp, double-breasted lapel on heavy dark wool fabric. A tailor's hand guides a piece of white chalk along the curve of the garment, which hangs suspended in a narrow backstage corridor. Soft, warm morning light falls through sheer curtains, casting long, angled shadows across the textured walls and floor. The midsummer sun creates a high contrast between the illuminated fabric and the deep, warm shadows in the room's corners. Dust motes float in the beams of light, settling on the rough surface of the wool. The white chalk line stands out starkly against the deep charcoal of the material, defining the precise geometry of the cut. at the edge is the tiny, powdery trail left by the chalk on the fabric's edge.
