Warm golden light spills across a heavy swathe of dark wool fabric, pinned flat against a work surface. Pale blue chalk lines mark precise cutting paths, standing out sharply against the deep charcoal texture of the material. The edge of the frame cuts through the fabric, leaving the main design area just out of view. Soft reflections shimmer on a nearby metal tool, catching the late afternoon glow. Dust motes hang suspended in the slanted beams, highlighting the fine fibers of the wool. A brass pin holds the corner secure, glinting with the last light of the day before the sun dips below the horizon.
