Beside a half-finished ceramic bowl, a peg rail holds drying canvas aprons stained with blue and ochre pigments, while potted succulents in cracked terracotta pots line the windowsill, their fleshy leaves glowing translucent against the harsh light. The lived-in texture of a local artist’s studio, with tools like a screwdriver set scattered near a stack of raw timber, blending the industrial heritage of Hobart with the vibrant, messy reality of contemporary creation.
