A brown dog stands on the cracked concrete pavement of a narrow Delhi lane, its fur illuminated by the faint, cool blue light of pre-dawn. Behind the animal, heavy metal shop shutters are pulled down, their surfaces marked by rust around hinge screws that catches the dim ambient glow. To the right, a small tea stall owner adjusts a tattered blue curtain over a window, while a worn door mat lies slightly askew near the entrance.
