Cool blue light from a storefront spills across a tiled floor where a markdown gun needle tube rests beside rolls of labels and matte keys. The scene sits in dappled summer light filtering through leaves outside Charsadda. In the center, a wooden display unit undergoes a strange transformation; its lower shelves have hardened into solid rock while the upper grain remains distinct. Suction cups and molded pegs rest on the stone-wood hybrid surface. Worn plastic components scatter nearby on the wet ground. The rigid symmetry of the arrangement contrasts with the organic transition of the furniture turning to stone. A sharp shadow from a leaf falls across the grain pattern etched into the rock.
