Dense white vapor billows upward from a stainless steel street cart, twisting into the cold air of a Durban side street. The scene unfolds under a deep, star-speckled sky heavy with dramatic, rolling clouds that obscure the moonlight. Faint ground glow illuminates the wet asphalt and the rain-slicked metal surfaces of the cart, highlighting condensation dripping from the warming pipes. Behind the cart, the silhouettes of market stalls line the narrow thoroughfare, their awnings dark against the gloom.
