The blue hour settles over a narrow alley in downtown Cairo, where the fading light catches the wet sheen of recent rain on cobblestones. A small, cluttered tea stall stands open, its interior glowing with warm tungsten that spills onto the street. On a scarred wooden counter, a brass whisk rests beside a stack of small glass cups, while a faded calendar hangs from a rusted pegboard hook above. A mechanic in a grease-stained shirt leans against the doorframe, smoking a cigarette, his silhouette framed by the shop’s warm interior against the cool, deep blue twilight.
