Silhouetted Podium and Cables in Santa Cruz Hall

Deep blue twilight washes the interior of a gymnasium in Santa Cruz de la Sierra, turning the central press podium into a stark black shape. Tangled microphone cables snake across the polished floor, their wires forming a chaotic knot before disappearing into the shadows of the equipment rack. Behind the silhouette, rows of empty folding chairs recede into the dimness, their metal legs catching faint reflections from the high windows. The air hangs heavy with the visible residue of recent rain, condensing on the cool surfaces of the gym walls. A thin layer of dust settles on the microphone stands, catching the last sliver of evening light that falls through the bleachers. The cables lie in sharp contrast against the smooth, slightly reflective floor tiles.
