Heavy rain slicks the asphalt, reflecting the store's light in long, distorted streaks. Dramatic, bruised clouds gather low overhead, pressing down on the street corner. Bunches of marigolds and chrysanthemums remain in plastic wrap, their colors muted by the damp air. The vendor's figure leans forward near the display, while water droplets rest on the plastic sheeting covering the wares. A puddle at the curb mirrors the fractured glow of the store's sign.
