Orange low-angle light floods the flat expanse of a Jordanian floodplain, illuminating dust kicked up by wind. A dark, textured pan sits in the foreground, its surface rippled by recent rain and current gusts. The horizon stretches wide, where heat haze shimmers into a mirage, blurring the line between the dry earth and the sky. Silhouetted vegetation and uneven ground anchors the composition against the glowing backdrop. Fine sand particles hang in the air, catching the fading sun. A jagged shadow from a distant ridge falls across the wet mud, defining the edge of the light.
