A cluster of plastic jugs sits on a rough concrete base beside a muddy paddock fence in Minas Gerais. Thick mist hangs low, softening the edges of the damp ground where straw drifts accumulate in gray clumps. The flat glare of noon light reflects off the wet surfaces without casting sharp shadows, creating a uniform, cool brightness across the scene. Layers of depth recede into the distance, where the mist obscures the line between the muddy earth and the pale sky. The concrete shows signs of heavy use, stained dark by moisture and animal traffic. One jug rests on the edge, its label peeling slightly, while the surrounding straw lies flattened and matted against the slick surface.
