The frame shows a late-night corner of a Chicago pizzeria, where the harsh glare of a fluorescent hood light clashes with the deep blue of a rainy night outside. Through the grease-streaked service window, a server in a stained apron slides a steaming pizza onto a counter, her hands moving with practiced speed. A chipped ceramic saucer sits precariously near a stack of white paper plates, catching the yellowish spill of the interior bulbs. Outside, the wet asphalt reflects the red taillights of a passing L train car, blurring into streaks of crimson and white.
