Seine Nets Drying on Salvador Causeway Beach

Wet, weathered wood planks of a causeway stretch toward a distant horizon, their converging lines guiding the eye through a haze of sea mist. A small fishing boat rests on the damp sand beside the road, its hull gleaming with residual rainwater. Bundles of seine nets hang loosely over the boat's gunwales, heavy with moisture and darkened by the wet season. The light is soft and diffused, casting gentle shadows beneath the nets and across the slick pavement. Salt spray coats the lower edges of the nets, while the sky above remains a uniform, pale gray. Tiny puddles reflect the overcast light on the asphalt, showing the recent downpour. The scene holds a quiet stillness, waiting for the sun to return.
