Sculpted Shoulder Dress Form in Harare Evening
Stiff canvas fabric forms an unfinished shoulder structure mounted on a dress form standing in a narrow stone lane. Old facades rise on either side, their weathered textures muted under the deep shadow of late evening. Dramatic clouds fill the sky above, catching the last blue light of day. A sharp rim light traces the curve of the canvas, separating the form from the dark background. Negative space surrounds the subject, showing the clean lines of the sculpted shoulder against the rough stone walls. The turn of seasons is visible in the dormant state of nearby plants and the heavy, cool tone of the twilight. at the edge is the crisp white edge of the canvas where the rim light hits.
