Polished chrome armrests gleam under the harsh white glow of overhead LEDs in a Southampton beauty supply area. A black leather salon chair faces a mirror framed by warm Edison bulbs, casting small, sharp highlights across its smooth surface. The room remains empty before the first client arrives in the dead of winter. Indigo twilight falls through a high window, against the artificial warmth of the string lights. Dust settles on the tiled floor while the reflection in the glass shows only the empty chair and the flickering bulbs. One bulb socket glows orange against the cool blue of the evening outside.
