Saffron Threads on Brass Scale in Fez Souk

Vibrant crimson threads of saffron rest in a small brass dish atop a traditional weighing scale. The metal gleams under bright midmorning light filtering through sheer curtains, casting soft, elongated shadows along the textured walls of the jeweler's stall. Beside the scale, shallow trays hold other dried spices, their earthy tones against the deep red of the saffron. The brass surface shows signs of use, with subtle scratches and a warm patina that reflects the ambient glow. Tiny individual threads catch the light, highlighting their delicate, fibrous texture against the smooth, polished metal. A faint dusting of spice powder lines the edge of the tray, evidence of recent handling.
