Red Monitors on Desert Bench in Amman Observatory

by Nikolai Le

Pale walls reflect the flat glare of noon sun into a controlled interior space within an Amman observatory. A biology sample bench occupies the foreground, its surface holding vials and instruments under the glow of red-lit monitors. The light bounces softly, creating muted reflections along the floor tiles. The turn of seasons is visible in the subtle dust resting on the equipment edges. The monitors cast a crimson hue that contrasts with the neutral tones of the room. One cable runs across the bench surface, connecting to a small sensor. The red glow fades at the edges of the frame, leaving the rest of the room in cool shadow.
