Rainy Bus Window Portrait Canal Side

Late autumn daylight fills the frame with a soft, diffused glow that turns the subject's skin into a luminous surface against the dark interior. Rain streaks the glass of the bus window, blurring the distant canal and Zoetermeer buildings into a watercolor wash of grays and muted greens. Fine dust hangs low in the air, catching the weak afternoon light in a hazy suspension near the window ledge. The person rests at the very edge of the frame, their face turned toward the glass with an expression of quiet attentiveness. Wet droplets slide down the pane, distorting the reflection of the overcast sky. One drop rests on the lower corner of the glass, refracting the gray light.
