A narrow alleyway in Kaohsiung’s old district glows under the deep indigo of blue hour, where the wet asphalt reflects the neon pink and electric blue signage of a nearby seafood stall. In the foreground, a weathered concrete step holds a discarded pair of black rubber boots beside a metal boot scraper caked with dried mud, evidence of the recent rain.
