Rain Beaded Snail Shell Turquoise Wall Istanbul

Droplets of water rest on the spiraling ridges of a pale snail shell, resting on a bed of deep green moss. The shell sits against a wall of weathered turquoise paint, where the surface shows cracks and peeling layers revealing darker undercoats. Indigo twilight permeates the indoor space, casting a cool hue over the scene. One lamplight source grazes the subject from the side, highlighting the wet sheen on the shell and the texture of the moss while leaving the background in deep shadow. The turquoise paint provides a textured backdrop, its rough surface against the smooth, wet curves of the shell. A final reflection of the light catches on the highest drop of water at the shell's outer lip.
