Bright midmorning light bounces off pale walls, filling the room with indirect illumination and warm interior shadows. A rough stone ledge anchors the scene, its uneven surface supporting layers of white batting and colorful fabric squares arranged in a grid. Hands press metal pins through the textile layers, securing them against the cold stone. The texture of the coarse stone sits beside the soft folds of the fabric, while simple tools rest on the edge of the ledge. Seasonal shifts appear in the angle of the light falling across the workspace. A sharp shadow from a pin tip marks the exact point where fabric meets batting.
