Bright midmorning light falls through a steady drizzle, washing the scene in soft, overcast diffusion. Beneath the floodlights of a government building in Owo, a red and white tarp shelters a temporary medic station. Layers of depth recede from the foreground, where medical kits rest on a wet plastic sheet, toward a blurred line of figures in the distance. The fabric of the tarp stretches taut, dripping water onto the paved ground below. Humid air hangs heavy, visible only in the sheen on surfaces and the way light refracts through falling raindrops. A yellow medical cross on a white box sits at the edge of the shelter, its colors saturated against the gray pavement.
