Preschool Nap Room Twilight Silhouette Winter

Heavy overcast skies cast a flat, gray light across the exterior of a red brick lecture building in Johannesburg. Inside the dim room, silhouettes of children lie on low cots arranged in neat rows. Star decals glow faintly against the darkened walls, their shapes visible only where the twilight bleeds through the windows. Folded blankets rest at the foot of each cot, their edges creating sharp geometric lines in the shadow. The brickwork outside shows deep texture, its reddish tones muted by the winter gloom. Rows of small figures rest beneath the star patterns, their stillness emphasized by the low angle of the fading light. One star decal catches the last gray reflection on the glass pane.
