The dog's alert ears stand high against a dark window revealing indigo twilight, while soft side light sculpts the texture of its fur and the shape of its muzzle. Behind the animal, the background remains uncluttered, allowing the subject to dominate the frame within a rule of thirds composition. Warm interior light pools in the corners of the room, against the cool blue tones of the winter evening outside.
