Thick, milky-white veins cut through dark grey stone, resting directly on a carpet of emerald moss damp with wet-season dew. North-window sidelight strikes the slab from the left, turning the polished surface into a mirror that reflects the green moss below while the background remains sharp and detailed. Soft shadows gather in the corners of the indoor space, where a warm lamplight begins to settle against the cool daylight. The stone surface gleams with jewel-like precision, showing the microscopic texture of the wet moss pressing against the rock's edge. one drop of water rests on the lower rim of the marble, refracting the light into a tiny, distorted spectrum.
