Ox Cart Dawn Light Cairo Harbor Road

Cold silver light spills over a red-earth road where a wooden ox cart moves slowly. The wheels press into the dusty track, kicking up faint clouds of dust that mingle with the low fog gathering near the harbor mouth. Two oxen, their coats dark and weathered, pull the heavy load forward. Their breath is invisible in the early autumn air, but the heat haze shimmers above the ground, distorting the horizon. The diagonal line of the cart cuts across the frame, creating tension against the vast, empty space of the harbor. Wooden spokes and iron rims show wear from years of travel. One shadow stretches long and thin across the red soil, ending abruptly at the edge of the fog.
