Cool early morning light spills over the textured facade of a neoclassical building in Plaka, casting long, sharp shadows across the narrow cobblestone street. A local baker, wrapped in a thick wool coat, carries a heavy wooden tray of fresh bread out onto the sidewalk, steam rising visibly in the chill air. Beside the shop entrance, a row of potted succulents sits on a low stone ledge, their fleshy leaves catching the pale blue light, while a faded blue and white porcelain bowl rests on a nearby windowsill, filled with rainwater.
