Honeyed evening light spills across dark, furrowed soil beside a tractor track in Taoyuan. An aluminum orchard ladder leans heavily into thick pear branches, their leaves turning crisp shades of amber and rust. Wisps of pruning smoke drift horizontally, whipped by the wind past a weathered wooden fence. The low angle emphasizes the ladder's metallic rungs against the sprawling canopy. Heavy fruit clusters hang low, against the fine, gray smoke that obscures parts of the background. Dust particles swirl in the warm glow, settling on the rough bark and the ladder's feet. One shadow stretches long across the tilled earth, marking the sun's descent.
