Olive Tender Bark Face Dawn Light Woodstock

Pale morning mist softens the edges of a weathered face pressed against the frame, its skin texture resembling rough olive tree bark in shades of grey and rust. The dry season holds the air still, leaving the skin dry and cracked with deep fissures that catch the first light. Behind the subject, a perfectly clear sky offers a stark, cool blue contrast to the earthy tones of the face. The light falls gently, revealing every ridge and crevice without harsh shadows. Fine dust settles on the shoulders of a worn garment, blending with the landscape of Woodstock, Cape Town. One deep line runs from the temple down to the jaw, mirroring the grooves of an ancient trunk.
