Notebook and Tagged Specimens in Monrovia Forest

Dappled sunlight falls through the canopy, creating shifting patches of bright yellow and deep shadow across a worn biology notebook lying open on damp earth. Beside the pages, several insect specimens rest on white paper tags, their delicate wings and legs preserved in clear plastic tubes that gleam with moisture. Green foliage frames the edges of the view, while the notebook's pages show handwritten notes in blue ink, documenting observations made in the humid air near Monrovia. Condensation beads on the cold metal housings of the collection vials, forming distinct water droplets that catch the light. One raindrop slides down the side of a glass tube, resting momentarily before disappearing into the soil below.
