Heavy wet season clouds press low over a wind-beaten harbor wall in Gweru, where a vertical display of fabric swatches hangs against the rough masonry. Boucle loops, satin sheen, and coarse horsehair canvas absorb the harsh glow of a nearby neon sign, casting pink and blue reflections across their distinct textures. Rain slicks the stone surface, creating dark, glossy patches that contrast with the matte weave of the materials. The fabrics drape in controlled folds, their edges defined by the artificial light against the gray night sky. one drop of water rests on the corner of the satin swatch, catching the neon hue before sliding down the fabric.
