Neon Star Patterns on Tucson Mosque Screen

Predawn darkness fills the prayer wheel corridor as a geometric mosque screen casts sharp star shapes onto the adjacent wall. Neon light reflects off the metal lattice, painting the intricate cutouts in electric blues and violets that contrast with the deep shadows of the turn-of-season night. Lamplight settles softly into the far corners, revealing dust motes suspended in the quiet air without disturbing the stillness. The frame-within-a-frame composition draws attention to the interplay between the rigid architecture and the fluid glow of the artificial light. One beam of violet light traces the edge of a carved stone pillar before fading into the darkness.
